Plate marker and small lettering

Hello all, I need to label some parts with some small lettering. When I go to create path and hit fill, run through the procedure, I do not get the letters and numbers, just little shapes. Is there a way to just get the outlines of the letters and numbers, or a font that just is a single line? I am sure it is probably something easy that I am over looking, but though I would ask.

If you just want an outline you would not use the Fill tool, you would want to create an Online Tool Path using the Plate Marker Tool. For Fonts if you do not have the Protext Module you can use the Center Line Trace using the Accuscan Tool, and again using an online tool path.

When I use the centerline on text it cuts off the ends of every letter. It doesn't extend the center line to the edges of the letters. Is there a setting to correct that?

yes this is because the centerline is compensating the shape.

It is probably better to find a centerline font instead. google "cnc center line font"
