Metal Art Bench - contest entry

I built this bench and donated it to the local snowmobile club for an auction. It sold for $1000.

How did you get the finish like this?

I mixed 30% muratic acid with water, sprayed the whole bench. After about 1/2 hour i sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide. let it dry for a day washed it off and clear coated it.
