Does anybody know why my machine would be cutting everything out jagged? My high school has had nothing but troubles since we got the new 4x4 setup.

are the lines all clean and crisp when you zoom in in the cad cam? i notice a lot of images you try to trace arent originally perfect when it transfers over so you have to do some image editing.

yea the lines appear strait when we zoom in we do all the editing. it still cuts pre made shapes on the program like squares and circles jagged and on our old setup with the 2x2 table it would never do it. but since we have had the new one we have had nothing but problems with it. we get water going through the ground wire some how and it ends up spitting out the grease like stuff that spews out the side of the connecter.

i also have some bent spur gear shafts so it doesnt like cutting diagonally nicely. (in the process of ordering parts. unfortunately the parts guy is not as good at his job as the tech support so im dealing with that.)

ya these tables are pretty ground sensitive. theres like 4 grounds that have to be perfect or it does all kinds of weird inconsistent things

Can you post pics of the cut piece and possibly a short vid of it actually cutting? Can you post the dxf file your cutting? Does this happen with every cut?

I had the same problem in the beginning stages. I had the lifter station mounted on the right angle tool adapter like the instructions said. I asked tech support about the waviness and the y told me to mount the lifter station directly om the gantry mount. That solved the problem, but lost a little over an inch of travel on y axis.

It does not cut jagged doing straight lines only when cutting curves.

Which machine and can you snap a photo? Im thinking either the torchbody isn't mounted proper in the clamps or that you are using the 90 degree bracket.
If you torch body has the compression clamps at the top then loosen them up and slide the torch body up so it is about the middle. Then jog the Z Axis to the very bottom and stalls. THen adjust the torch body so that the torch tip goes past the top of the slat by about 1/4" then tighten up the clamps. This wil help eliminate the torch wobble you might be getting.

I am having this same issue with thinner gauge steel just did this sign cut from 14ga. I'm running the flexcut80 at 40amps , a cut speed at approx 80ipm and voltage around 116 I believe . Tried speeding up and slowing down cut speed but no difference was seen . Interested in what you find ( my table is a 4x8 classic)Dnmeistr-LECS

Finding the problem is easy, just as Chad said, grab the torch and shake it, it is the same effect that is happening when cutting, simple as that. Find out where you are getting the slop/backlash from and tighten it up.

But the machine cuts perfect on other cuts at times. I'll try and get a video of the torch in a run and see what you guys think

try slowing cut speed too. but if the gears arent gapped to the track properly youll get this kind of thing

ok i can definitively see where that would come into play! what is the recommended torch height on the clamp? Also, is there a procedure to gapping the track?

in your table assembly instructions book theres the gap spec for the gears. the book is on their website if you dont have one
