Error 2001 on torchmate 2 table

Hello everyone,

Been running a torchmate 2 table since january and over the last month our signal generator has started to randomly disconnect from our computer and throwing the error 2001. I have searched for awhile online with no help and im about to call torchmate but thought I would ask here before i call in the morning. This happens maybe once a week but has started happening almost once a day.If anyone knows what the error is that would be a great help but any help would be appreciated.

If you are running TM4 software then you will want to eliminate any chance of emi interference. Move the plasma at least 6' away from the signal generator and make sure the machine torch cable does not cross over any cables, no wires are zip tied to the machine torch cable.

We are running the TM4 program and our torch is only about 2 foot away from our generator. I will definitely move it futher away just kinda strange that it wasn't happening earlier in the year. thanks for the reply

Also is that what the error meant or is the error just for a disconnected signal generator? Just curious about the error code

Disconnected or lost connection with the signal generator both the same, you can also try swapping out the USB cable. Cables degrade over time.

Awww makes sense. Would you please tell me the name of the usb cable? I think that might be the culprit

It is your standard USB printer cable, has both a Type A and Type B male connectors.
