Would like some help. Loosing Zero and 0021 error code

So we have had are table for a year now and have been cutting a lot. In the last few month we have been having a lot of problems. The software will loose its zero and moves the part inside the program to a different location. For example it will start a cut and the plasma with throw a 0021 error code and the table with then think the zero has move a few inches in any direction. We have already check the ground, all the connection and all the parts in the torch. If anyone can shine some light on are problem that would be great. I am almost to the point of telling torchmate to come get this thing and we will get something else.

You fail to mention what table you have, also there are a few different 021 error codes check your plasma manual to determine which code it is and the what the fix is. FYI you can look at a ground all day long but until you put a meter on is when you can determine if the ground has continuity. Google how to use a multimeter if in doubt.

Good Point. I have a Torchmate 4800. When i said we checked the ground, we used a Multimeter and checked the Resistance and it was below what the max allowance is. for the error code it is 0021 Work Transfer Fail.

Work Transfer would mean that the plasma cutter striked an arc and it failed to trasfer the positive polarity to the material, where is the plasma ground cable connected to, should be direct to the material. Also verify your 3 phase legs to ensure you haven't dropped a leg at the disconnect box. For mechanical motion, you can Datum the machine then jog the Y axis forwards and backwards a few times at high speed and re-datum the machine, you should not receive any Datum errors. Do this a couple times and ensure no Datum errors. If that checks out and you are still losing position then it could be software related, for that you would need to contact Tech Support.
