4x4 GS table assembly questions

1) Gantry is mounted. As I push the gantry from front to back extremes there is a small gap where it stops on the left rail. About 3/32" at the back. If I pressure by hand it closes the gap but springs open once I let off. If I try to adjust it out by tweaking the bearings then the gap opens up somewhere else. I have spent hours trying to dial this in. Crosswise and side to side measurements seem to be square. Is this an issue?

2) I am not clear on how to mount the tool mounting plate. This was not mounted on my machine and it is hard to tell from the PDF the orientation of this.

3) There are 8 bolt slots on the lifter station. Which slots do I use to mount it? I am using the LC105M torch.

4) Does the plate marker (or other tools) use the right angle bracket? How do you mount the right angle bracket and still use the standard torch mount position? Seems the bolts mounting the right angle bracket to the tool mount plate would prevent the lifter station from mounting flat.(?) Or does the right angle bracket get clamped between the lifter station and the tool mount plate using the 4 socket heads?

Thanks!

You would need to check that the table is square and that both rails run parrallel to each other, use the 3, 4, 5 rule to determine square. Once the table is square, jog the gantry to the end of the table, disconnect the screws from the gantry, see images below, ensure the holes are dead center with the aluminum L bracket holes. Also ensure that when you roll the gantry off of the L brackets by hand that the brackets do not spring out or that there is no gap between the bracket and the gantry, surfaces need to be flush with no tension on the machine screws. If all is good reattach gantry to L brackets and do the same for opposite end of the table, jogging gantry into the hard stops and repeat steps above.

The 90 degree bracket attaches to the tool mounting plate using the two bolts and nuts supplied, the slots in the 90 degree bracket are there to not interfere with the socket head cap screws. Your tool mounting plate will look diferent as it is a 4x4 and has provisions for a platemarker. The 4 holes in the 90 degree bracket will line up with the 4 holes on the back side of the lifter.
