Setting up the 4800 what i found

After tons of research online of what to fill the table with, in the end i found the 2 easiest options are these..
For the inpatient ones (like me)
Super washing soda, I put two boxes (3.95 per box) in and there is no rust in the water or the parts and it even cleans your parts off for you. Smell is like laundry so its a clean smell. The water feels a little soapy but again it cleans the parts as it cuts...
For the patient ones
There is a product called green cut its expensive around 300 bucks shipped for 5 gallons takes a week and you need 4 gallons for the 4800 table to mix with water.
If your curious as I was all the videos from Lincoln Electric use the green cut hence the green water.
Hope this helps the hours on searching and phone calls I made to see what the fastest was to get cutting was....

That's interesting about the washing soda. How long have you been using it?
It was pretty much a $itch to get green cut. Several places show up on their site saying they are vendors. The places closest to us had no clue what I was talking about. They could find it in Their system but couldn't locate any. I ended up getting it from praxair and waiting a week or 2 to get it out of Canada. Didn't slow me down starting to use the machine while I waited. But the high cost and that it likes to shoot out of the table (depending on where you are cutting and have tour sheet placed) I don't know that I would go that route again. I've already had to top it off a few times and would be easier to top it off with $4 stuff then $300 stuff.

I just got my 5gal of GREENCUT this week .. Took about a week to get as it comes from Canada . I have a friend who is a dealer for them but doesn't sell much of it . I paid $215 for 5gal shipped before tax .. I did see that dealer cost is $155 with shipping on it for 5gal in case anyone was curious . How it works ? Couldn't tell you yet I started setting my machine up last week (2-3hrs a day) after work . I'm close to firing and will report any feedback I have .
Post up a picture of the new machine when you get it setup!

Im about to drop my green cut in the Machine thoughts on how it works I wanna try it out since I have it

The GreenCut can just be added a gallon at a time. It is about a 25-30:1 ratio so for the 4800 holds about 105-107 gallons of water so about 3.2 gal of the green stuff. Will help keep you parts and table pretty clean. Also will emit a pleasant scent when you are cutting while keeping all your slats from rusting!

The water will evaporate but the chems will not. You can keep adding water to the table until you get to transparent then add more chems. Most people change it out every year or so pending on the amount of cutting you do.

What is the mixing ratio for the Washing soda? Pele' is going to have a 350 gal water tank..

Ok I did more reading on the thread, I'm assuming two 55 oz boxes / 100 gal is a good ballpark to start with. PH strips could be used for exact ratio. (I currentely use dynaflux)

The 4800 holds 107 gal so I would assume 2.25/2.5x the amount for the 350 gal. Mainly the key is to change the pH of the water. Plus instead of a dirty metal shop it will smell like a fresh dirty metal shop...

^^ Yeah I did some additional reading and edited the post. The shop would not be the same if it did not stink like plaz smoke, folks wonder why I leave the swamp cooler uncovered for so long

Update,
A mix ratio of .8 oz / gal of water yielded a PH of 11 so all is good and it should only cost about$20 to treat 350 gal. Thanks for the tips guys.
