Hi guys, just a query I have as I hope to upgrade in the near future to the 4400 .
I currently have the Torchmate 2 x 4 AVHC & Powermax 45.
The query is this:
All the dxf's that I have created , (hundreds of them) which on the 2 x 4 , I can open with Torchmate 3 and cut, CAN I open these with the new Accumove and cut or do I have to modify all these and start from scratch?

Hi Larry,
I was concerned with this also. You must make new tool paths and save as GM files. I found it to be real easy, and have converted hundreds of them. I just go through and delete the toolpaths from the DXF files and then do the new toolpaths in cad and save as GM.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Ahhhh, easy yes but vert time consuming as I chose a pierce point more suitable than the system to give a better divot so have to adjust every pierce point in every file created....... oh neat.
Ok also I notice that my Cad version 8 revision 1 doesn't have a .gm as an output. Is there a patch or something?

Larry

Yes there is an installer to load the Accumove POST in the CAD.

If you saved the CDL format files you can just re-output them into the .gm format once the POST is loaded into the CADv8. No alterations needed. But if you only have the original DXFs then you would need to redo them anyway...

I did it this way with most of my files.
