Seven years ago Torchmate revolutionized the CNC world when it released the Growth Series line of CNC plasma machines. Next week Lincoln Electric will release the next generation Torchmate small business solution that integrates the mechanical, motion and plasma power supply into a single source system that is hard to duplicate.

Lincoln Electric capitalized on its global engineering resources to provide a platform that offer's faster delivery, quicker set up, reduced cycle times, industry leading technical support and is easier to use. In addition we are offering peace of mind dependability with a 2 year all inclusive bumper to bumper warranty supported by a company that for over 120 years has specialized in creating industrial manufacturing solutions.

Our ready to run system can be set up in about 30 minutes and our beta tests have yield same day production run times from experienced CNC operators. The new Torchmate 4400 and 4800 machines produce up to 65% faster cut speeds, improved cut quality and exceptional repeatability.

This new product will be available for sale on July 11, 2016, but we we are excited to start sharing a few sneak peeks with our FabricationForum Community this week. Stay tuned, tomorrow we will give you the first view of the two new models.

We look forward to hearing what you think about the new member of our Torchmate Family.

I am HERE TO SAY... this machine is much different that the previous 3 Torchmate tables I have bought and been involved with since 2004. Lincoln stepped up and addressed some key areas on the machine to make it an even better platform to produce on time parts in your shop. We currently get AWESOME cut quality with the older TM table we have in house. Cut quality is all about having the machine tight, aligned, and more importantly having the right cut conditions for your application. The new Torchmate release is going to raise the bar in fit and finish for this price range machine. In my humble opinion this is certainly a GAME CHANGER for the Torchmate line of products.

When the Torchmate 4800 arrived assembled we were more than impressed. When we removed the crate and had the new Torchmate up and going within a few minutes that was certainly impressive. There are a few key changes to the machine that the Motobilt team really likes. You can follow us on Instagram at @motobilt_inc as we start to post pictures of these changes and even some real world video of the machine running. HINT... the guides and gear setup are lets just say it's a lot different than flat bar and rollers. I will also be posting pics and video here as well.

We have been testing the machine hard with real world cutting. It was awesome to have it here in time to cut parts for the Wolverine 3 Movie trucks we recently built product for. We have this machine running steel and our older TM running at the same time cutting aluminum so we could meet a very tight deadline for the movie production. Neither machine let us down.

This is one of the first test cuts we made with the new 4800 TM. This part is straight off of the table with no clean up. We are showing the dross side of the part. The material is 3/16" P&O plate.

So... what do you guys think? Looking good. I think for the amount of time we have had to dedicate to this machine things are rolling along smoothly. I will get some more posted up soon.

How much did torchmate pay you? Since they clearly have issues and can't get good responses on their own page they jump on the back of a hard working fabricator to do the trench work to be the brand ambassador. Motobilt is badass! The claim that torchmate has industry leading support is a flat out lie.

Not paying us a dime. I have never had an issue with support from the Torchmate staff. Mike and others in tech support have taken care of any issue we have had. If I have questions about something regarding the tables I have purchased I call them. Call Mike Aiello in Tech Support I think you will find he is very helpful.

If I can ever help message me. I have been around CNC plasma cutting a long while. If I can help I will. Most of the issues start with cut conditions or small issues associated with the table.

Thanks for the props on Motobilt. Much appreciated.

I'm glad my Growth Series has lifetime tech support! Peak cutting speed is only 250ipm? Still too under powered. I'd like to see video of the new table cutting something intricate from 22ga stainless with AVHC active, then showing the dross side of the part. That'd be the only thing that would sell me on a new table.

X2! For being extremely satisfied with customer service. I probably had at least 15 hrs of phone time with Mike Aiello to work through software and a hardware issue plus taking the time to even show me how to draw the parts I needed to get building my 80 series bumpers and start putting the machine to work right away. He was very eager to help me learn the software and get the machine running for me. Deanna one the head managers even called me on her time on her way home from work to make sure i was happy and up and running . I don't know too many other large companies that would do that.
Of course though my luck I buy the table and 6 months later this comes out! Lol
Oh well I'm extremely pleased with my part cut quality as well. The only issue I have randomly is when cutting a lot of parts from one sheet. Sometimes in the middle of the program it will just stop or freeze torche down?

I just purchased (still being assembled) a Torchmate 3 2 weeks ago, and was told that Torchmate Classic would be discontinued, but told nothing about discontinue of Torchmate 3 and all parts. I can't believe that this key piece of information was left out when I'm considering a purchase of over $25,000! I'm a small startup business, and I went with Torchmate because of their support, but I feel terrible today because of a lack of key information for a HUGE purchase for me.

Meh still not sure how I feel about this.
And then you guys boot the growth series to kick all the little guys in the ass.
Disappointed. Looks like a good machine but the service i have gotten from torchmate in the past and the high price point makes me want to go elsewhere.

Your Torchmate 3 will absolutely receive the same support as all models, future, past and present. Our legacy models are still very good machines as Motobilt points out, he is running a TM3 with good cut quality and repeatability. Our new models have been under embargo, so the sales team is not to blame for lack of information about the 4400-4800 models. Parts are readily available for the TM3 if the need arises.

Always nice to see the latest and greatest stuff. I am going to run my old 2X4 until it drops but am always looking for where i will go next. How about the motor specs ect. I am looking forward to seeing the new guides/gears.
Website updates will be released later this week with full details.

Looks great! Are you using the Lincoln Flexcut 80 plasma cutter? I still have not pulled the trigger on a plasma table purchase yet and the quotes I have received from TM are for that cutter which is so new there is no feedback on it yet. Just wondering how you like it, cut quality, how it compares to a standard like Hyperthem 60 etc.

Thanks,
Will
