I'm Jeff Knoll, Marketing and Technical Support Manager for Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems. I have been associated with Lincoln Electric since 2011, starting as a motorsports brand ambassador, moving to Marketing Manager and most recently adding the Technical Support group to my responsibilities in December 2015. I have been involved with professional off-road racing since the 90's. I have built and raced a number of Jeep vehicles to the podium in Baja California, as well as the California and Nevada deserts. in 2006 I created the King of the Hammers off road race as well as the Ultra4 racing series with my partner Dave Cole. Mr Cole continues to promote this exciting race series in my absence. I have written technical articles for a number of enthusiasts publications including Crawl Magazine and OffRoad Press.

Like many of our Fabrication Forum participants I am a dedicated home fabricator. You will often see my personal shop and projects posted here on Fabrication Forum. I have a Torchmate 2x4 growth series machine in my home shop which I purchased when the Growth Series was launched. My son and I enjoy building projects on the weekends and improving our off-road vehicles. While I may have access to our impressive Demo area, I would rather use the basic tools in my home shop on the weekends.

If I can be of any help, please reach out me here via PM. I will be visiting this forum, and participating on a regular basis. This is not just my job, its my hobby as well. I am looking forward to learning new skills and seeing the cool projects our members are working on.

I'm Terry. I moved to Reno to study metallurgical engineering due to my hobbies in the 4x4 community and metal fabrication. In 2010, I was asked to bring my rig to an Ultra4 race to work recovery, and I've been hooked ever since. I'm currently rebuilding that rig to go faster as finances permit :).

I've been active on various 4x4 forums for many years, but lately have lost some interest. I think it would be awesome to have a forum more centered around a scientific and educational discussion of fabrication as opposed to most of what is presently available.

Hi guys, I've got a question. Is there an appropriate way for those of us addicted to drawing in Torchmate CAD to show or display some of the things we draw? I understand we have the Projects Forum but am unsure if it's the proper place to post something like this. 4 Door Jeep.png

That would be fine to put in the projects section as well, you can post with pictures of the cut out piece as well for a nice drawing to cut comparison

That's where I had my hang up with posting it there. You see, a few years ago a severe back injury resulting in disability ended my 25 years in fabrication. My shop is gone, no way to cut 'em. All I do is draw. It's a long story but Torchmate saved me.

Better late than never. I apologize for my forum etiquette. I'm Jason. I have a 2x2 that I purchased late 2015. I'm currently using a Hypertherm 45. This forum has already been a great resource. I hope to see it grow and expand even further. Great to be here.

Hello everyone... I guess It would be nice to have introductions from the Tech staff too.
Im Chad Spradlin. I'm a TS3 and the lead trainer at Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems for the Torchmate brand tables. I lead the In house training for our CAD courses and travel to locations for training purposes. I also develop and write CAD walk throughs along with host some webinar series based on the CAD or VMD software.

My background is graphic design along with other CNC driven tables. I'm rarely serious unless I have to be and try to enjoy and make light of every situation. I would rather be a smart a$$ than dumb a$$.

I usually ride the LiveCHAT and the support inbox. If I don't know the answer I will try to get it for you.
