so my parts guy got "fast acting" 74-5fg8a-b fuses instead of the "slow blow" 74-5sc8a-b fuses. (for the fuses in the AM3 controller.) is this a big no no or will i be ok?
Just means the fuse will blow faster if it sees a short, normally these fuses govern the 24v power supply. A fuse would blow if by chance your larger input cable shorted to ground or the smaller input cable that has the multi colored wires labeled 1 through 4 and the 4 Comm wires were to touch ground. Best to snip off the tinned ends of the wires that are not used.
