Cut Speed

I recently had to reinstall the CAD software to the computer that I draw with. Ever since I have done this all of my new cut files are cutting to fast on my table. I have it set at the correct speed on DMD but it’s cutting faster than what I have it set at. My old cut files are working perfect.

Is there anywhere on the CAD program that the speed could be set and is overriding what I set in the DMD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly under Options > Torchmate Setup > General check that the Feedrate is set to IPM and not IPS.

Thanks for the idea and I checked under the settings and everything is set to IPM. I can get it to cut properly but I have to drop the speed on the VMD. If I normally cut at 90 I have to drop to 30 to get the cut quality that I want.

You can verify in the gcode if the feedrate is being sent over from the cad software, generally at the end of line 6 will be an F value, if no F value then the table is cutting at max travel speed. Looking at your previous files that work, looking at the gcode window you should see that F value. To fix this, in the Cad software go to Machine > Machine Defaults then Setup, click on Plotter Options Tab and check that Feedrate is selected.

I checked the code and its like you said, the old files have the F value and the new ones do not. I went into the CAD software and the Feedrate box is checked but it is still running to fast.
