Check this out. Over the weekend a good friend asked me to help him cut a cymbal. He was looking for a different sound and wanted to make a custom trash cymbal. He wanted to use some hole saw.... uhh no sir we would be using the new Torchmate 4800 to do the shape cutting. I put together a very simple pattern in Solidworks and off to the table to cut. We did make a simple fixture to locate the cymbal. The fixture was cut from 14 ga but thinner would work fine. The torch height controller did awesome keeping up with it the elevation change. Check it out. I thought it turned out pretty cool.

They guy we made it for loved the sound. He has been a drummer for many years. I am not a drummer but I thought the sound was cool.
