Is it possible in cadlite to break open a closed object? Effectively making it an outline with a gap, instead of an object/cutout.
That did it. Thanks!I just tried it in Cad 9.....double click object to enter node edit.....right click to enter node edit pallet...choose break tool
Now is there a way to set which side of the node breaks? Appears to always break to the left. That did it. Thanks!
Thanks. Good stuff. Especially the b and j. Very useful. I've heard of a list of hotkeys. Where are they located?Havent really looked to see which side the node breaks but you can insert a node anywhere you want to place a break, hold down the shift key and you will notice a node insertion point move along the line as you move you mouse around (hint move mouse pointer off the line so you can see the insertion point better) double click to place the node. Select the node and press the B key to break apart, to join select the two nodes and press letter J. If you convert to Polyarc (Arrange > Convert to) you can use the Divide Tool by selecting a line and you can enter how many nodes you want to insert and it will evenly space them (I use this for creating stitched bend lines instead of one solid line). To go along with this you can use the second Trash can to delete a line between two nodes.
Sweet. Thanks. Here is a sheet with all of the hot keys and when they are available.
