VMD default directory

Is there a way to change the default directory where the VMD software goes to when I open a GM file? - Also change default from HPGL to GM box. Thanks.

Logon as Admin then click on the small gear icon at the top left of the screen, here you can delete all file types but gm so that it will just default to gm files, you can also change the directory structure.
