Torch Diving

I have a new 4800, in the fonts, there is a stencil font.

Cutting out 75 numbers, any number with the number 4, the torch dived. The left part of the 4, probably had a kerf of about 3/16 of an inch, maybe a tad under

Consumables were well used, it's public education took a while to get more, literally received more 40 amp tips after I completed the job, 10g 40 amps. Air pressure was under 90 psi.

Worked fine on any other number, dove on all that left side of the fours....

I have owned a 4x4 at another campus, my thoughts are the comeback on the cut path is too close and so its wanting to pull more volts? Ran on 120 with sample turned on, read 117? I can try more tomorrow.

I would assume in the "4" there isnt enough metal for the plasma to cut so the VOLTAGE dropped causing the torch head to dive. in the TMCAD go to VIEW/SHOW TOOL DIAMETER along with VIEW/SHOW TOOL PATH ONLY.

This will display the "actual" cut path. you will see that there isnt enough space for cutting. You can alter the thickness of the "bridge" by going into NODE EDIT MODE and creating a wider area.
