Tig filler rod storage rack

This is the basic parts of the rack before I added the 4x upright steel tubes. each plate is made of 5x pieces, except the bottom plate that has 4x 3/8-16 nuts welded to the corner feet to allow attachment if the casters when finished. The nuts are hidden inside the tube once assembled. Everything is TIG welded.

This is the finished rack minus the paint, PVC tubes and casters. it stands 29" high without the casters attached.

Basically got tired of having my TIG filler rods rolling all over the place. So I thought up a way to consolidate them all into a clean rolling package.

Nice job Matt... I really like the PVC slip to slip joint for holding the tube tightly in the bracket.... I assume they are glued permanently

All its missing is some nice PCUT label id'ing the different rod.. I did the same thing bungy cording all the holders to my rack.. yours is much nicer and shows off your work

Yes, the tubes are pinched in place by permanently gluing the slip collar on the top and end cap on the bottom. I also had a bunch of loose tubes and tape/bungy cords holding it down, I got tired of that system and decided to flex my table a bit.
