Plate marker hook-up question.

Putting together my new 4x4 with plate marker and PM65.
The instructions say that you should not put more than 90psi into the hose leading to the plate marker. Does this mean that the supplied small regulator on the plate marker should not be set above 90psi or does it mean that I need to regulate the air supplied to the small regulator to 90psi?

The air supply to that should be 90 PSI, I am assuming you are referring to the regulator on the front, that will be regulated down further from there.

That's what I thought. Now I just need to get a secondary regulator to drop down the psi for the plate marker (one for the plasma and another for the plate marker).
 
You should have a regulator already on the assembly. This will just be set to 15-20psi.
 
Just to make sure we are on the same page..... it will go like this.... Compressor (170psi)--------> Wall mounted regulator (drops to 100psi)-----------> input hose to plate marker...

Is this acceptable?

My issue is that I will have a single drop next to the table that will be regulated to 100-120psi. I'm worried that I will need to split one line to the plasma and the other end of the split will need to go to another wall mounted regulator to drop the pressure to 90psi before it is sent to the plate marker (with its already attached regulator). It sounds like the attached mini regulator on the plate marker assembly cant handle anything above 90psi and is only there to make 90psi into 15-20psi, is that correct?

our set up here just splits off the input to the plasma with no drop. we run 123psi.
