Hi all
So i am new to cnc plasma, my background is artistic metalwork and forging. I recently acquired a torchmate 3 the table is the 4'x8'. The table came with an old dell with cad and driver programs circa 2004. As far as experience with cad or cnc plasma tables, I am starting at near zero. There is no cd or manual and the old dell sits in the shop next to the table so i am thinking should i buy a newer cad to put on my laptop for learning on and drawing projects in a more comfortable location? I figure the cad has probably come a long way since '04. Any recommendations out there?

using the torchmate cad cam v9 is the friendliest one to use with our machines. there are other cad programs that have what you need for the machine but good luck finding any help if you have questions.
these guys are pros at machine operation and cad assistance.

Ok so i went to torchmate website and downloaded cad 9. It now wants a password. Where do i find this?

you gotta call TM and order a dongle. and guard that dongle with your life.
