Lifter station lead screw and nut replacement

Replaced my lifter station lead screw and bronze nut. Old one stripped out last weekend. Amazing how worn the lead screw was. Nut was almost completely stripped as well. Wire wheeled the guide rods. Hopefully I put it back together right.. test run this weekend. It moves freely from top to bottom. Assuming my cut quality should improve slightly. This had to be affecting my avhc.

Another shout out to Jose in parts. I emailed him what I needed. He shot a quote back to me. I called, paid, and had both parts in 2 days.

Great write up... Keep them guides lubed with 3 and 1. Keep the lead screw dry and blow it off every once and awhile to get the dust off. You will see better cuts as usually when the lead screw/bronze nut is worn you get a lot of extra movement. Less wear and tear on the smart motor too.

However you maintain the lifter station, it should be cleaned thoroughly, very light lubrication a drop or two of 3 in 1 oil on top of the bronze nut every now and then, and light lubrication on the chromed guide rods. Just like you would clean the outside of a rifle barrel, you wouldn't spray it heavily down with oil then wipe it off, you would place a few drop of oil on a cloth and then wipe it down.

Also a lot of people neglect the flange bearing at the bottom of the acme screw, make sure it spins freely and if not replace it.
