Bough some cheap LED lighting off eBay. Worked pretty good.

Here's the plug in version. Cord isn't very long but it's wireless remote and works great. Very bright. The trick to all these is curves because the strip is flat. Pita

How did you mount the lights? Glue or double stick tape?
Any pics of the back of your piece. I like how even the light is

 

The strip has tape on the back. We'll see how long it lasts. Next step would be hot glue.
