High School Agriculture Engineering Shop (FFA)

Good morning Chad,
Thanks for share the file, but I'm having a little trouble. I have the torchmate 4800 and I've been utilizing the scan tool to trace the points. I've have tried to open the dxf file that you have shared, but I'm not have any luck with it because it appears that the link you provided wants to open up in an app. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried to save the file as a EDU file but no lucky.

To open the DXF, In the TMCAD go to FILE/IMPORT then locate the file.

If you double click the file to open then it will try to find a file association to open the file.

Being that it is not a photo, the scan and trace will not work.

Hello all.

I am a high school agriculture instructor and FFA advisor in Eastern Tennessee. My courses focus on agriculture engineering, metal fabrication, small engine repair, and business marketing. Many of my fellow shop teachers have a Torchmate cutting system but find themselves "reinventing the wheel" on some simple projects. Granted, the "reinvention" is 9/10th of the fun!

I am going to post cut files that I have created, borrowed from others, and those that my students have created. Feel free to use them all. And if you have anything to share, share away!

Attached are TN related cut files for my fellow Tennesseans out there.

Thank you for the files. Question I have is I can't seem to import a GM file into my torchmate? I can import dxf, cmx , jpeg, etc but cant import GM?
Any suggestions. Thanks.

Pending on the system, will determine which file format you will use for your cuts. Older systems (TM3/4) will take the FGC format to where as the Accumove/VMD systems will use the GM format for the cut files.

Thanks for your quick response. I got it figured out. Cut files only open in the cutting program.
thanks
