Having to reset the Z axis EVERY TIME

Hey guys,
I just got my table going tonight and Im having a hell of a time getting it to make multiple cuts. It'll make 1-2 job cuts (line speed test, test cut) and then it will try to bury the torch when it comes down for its first cut. Ill try to start over and bring the gantry back to 0,0 and re datum and rest set Z axis again and it'll do the same thing. Or sometimes it will say the Z-axis is out of limit, or it will say invalid feed rate when I had just cut the same job a minute ago.

I searched the forum and read a couple threads but I'm still having troubles. I check to see that I had the latest version of firm ware, it was down loaded in Sept.

Thanks

So I think what is happening is that the lifter station assembly is mounted too high on the bracket. If the bottom of the assembly is flush with the bottom of the gantry then you need to lower the assy down one bolt hole set. Then once that is back and assembled then lower the z all the way down and adjust the torch body so with consumables the tip goes past the top of the slats by about 1/4-1/2. This will allow the proper stroke of the Z.

This should absolve the ZAXIS issues you are having.
