common line cutting

hello all, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for designing with common line cutting. It would save much time with projects we are cutting. I have tried, but cannot seem to get this function to work.

One side of the cut will look great. the other... not so much.

Dan, I've used common line cutting very seldom. The cost savings are negated by the more in effort to create the tool path and conventional edge quality loss.
