Cleaning crap off gantry and lead screw?

Do you guys spray anything on your lead screws? And how do you keep everything clean on the gantry.
A few times when cutting parts the machine will jog over then get stuck and throw off the entire part. I'll jog it back to a starting area and start over and it's usually fine.
Just did 1 hour of cutting 32 pieces and it happened on 2 of them. Kind of annoying when its a large part and wastes the material. Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?

See pic attached, you can verify alignment when gantry is at the end of its travel that both up and down as well as side to side that there is no load on the drive screws. You would want to verify this at both ends north and south of the table. Clean the drive screws with Silicone Spray.
