Blue AVHC doesn't always retract after cut and makes weird noise?

Can't seem to wrap my head around what is going on with my AVHC I've reprogrammed the motor, taken apart the the lift several times trying something different each time and same results. Idk if it has something to do with the smart motor or the lead screw or what as it all looks in excellent condition for it's age. Ive noticed now than sometime after cutting a piece when the lifter does retract back to the top before the next pierce it makes like a weird humming noise but not from the motor but from the lifter it's self and it vibrates the table slightly it feels but when I run the lifter up manually from the control box it's just fine so Im not sure what that is about and why it's doing that.

Also i've noticed that the lifter/torch doesn't always retract after a finished cut and moves on to the next cut. I thought maybe it was something to do with the file but it has happened on several different files. I thought it was the software or computer so I tried another computer and same results. Im not sure if the motor is getting a signal to retract or if it's getting in a bind and thinks it already has. The auto feature to maintain hight works as it should and only have a problem when trying to retract after making a cut.

Pull the torch out of the lifter and do a dry run, doing this so there is no weight on the lifter, see if it works. The vibrating could be that the motor is trying to retract too far and contacting the hard stop before moving to its home position. To reset its home position turn the box off and back on, it will retract to a hard stop and drop down approx 1/8" defining its home position. By default you only have a 1/8" buffer from its home position, to increase this you can place a temporary stop above the lifting block such as a nut, this will define its home position lower in its travel, remove the nut after it tops itself out.

As for the torch not retracting between cuts, it could be due to resistance in the lifter, removing the torch to see if it works any better, or the motor is getting tired and does not have enough power to retract all the way. During its retract it is not using full power of the motor the same as when it moves down to find the material. Only using full power of the motor when you physically are using the job buttons to move the torch up and down. With the box turned off and the lifter sitting horizontally on your bench, spin the spring coupler with your fingers it should move the lifter through its travel extremely easy, with no resistance whatsoever. If there is resistance try readjusting the allen screws on the chromed guide rods, they do not need to be very tight just enough to hold the rods into place.

Also without turning the spring coupler try to move the lifter, there should be only .045" inches of play and the lead screw should not move at all, if the lead screw moves this means the flange bearings have play in them allowing the lead screw to move.
 
Having the same issue. I've replaced the rods, brass nut, acme screw. I'm replacing the sleeve bearings today, found one to be very tight on the shaft. However are there any troubleshooting steps to see if the smart motor is the issue?
I have the torque set to 15. The lifter with out the torch moves fine. Slight resistance when spinning the screw by hand on the up motion but i can spin it by hand still. When i first got the machine, i remember if i jogged to a hard limit, the motor would buzz. It doesn't do that any more. Seems like there is no torque.
