After pierce torch lifting from sheet

Hey guys,

Thanks for any info you can give. As of the last couple weeks our torchmate 2 table has started lifting away from the material for about an inch after the pierce. It looks as if the avhc is lifting it to find the voltage but its lifting far enough away that it makes a noticeable non straight part before it will finally settle at the voltage and cut just fine. Ive looked around and tried adjusting some of the settings but no luck. If anyone has any info that would be great. Planning on calling torchmate in the next day or two just thought i would as on here first if it might be a simple fix.

Thanks

Pending on what setup you are running you might want to go through getting your speed correct then proceed with the voltage test. The reason the head is lifting away is because the RAW ARC VOLTAGE being read in is lower than the SET VOLTAGE.

How to get the proper settings for the blue screen is as follows

If you are using VMD then verify that SAMPLE VOLTAGE is ON.
