Accumove 2 setting up new computer trouble

I have a 4x4 growth series with an Acumove 2 red controll box. I just switched computers from a 32bit system to a 64 bit system and had to upgrade the software. I cannot get an ip address to connect the VMD software. when the black screen appears it appears sharp and then goes fuzzy after a few seconds and I cannot use any of the buttons on the screen to troubleshoot or set the ip address.

I am using the same crossover cable that works with the old computer and it works when I attach it to the old computer...

I am missing something here.

Has anyone had this problem?

IP address needs to be checked on the computer, go to Network and Sharing Center then click on Change Adapter, go to Properties for the Ethernet Adapter (Note here on Ethernet Adapter you can verify if Red X goes away when box is turned on), on TCP IP4 configure the IP address to 192.168.1.6. Also disable your Firewall for Public and Private. If after disabling Firewall and controller connects then you can reenable the firewall and allow the VMD application through.
