3/8 cut quality
I have the flex cut 80
looking to see what numbers and speeds everyone is running on 3/8 plate I am trying to get flat edges and better holes. I have no good numbers set in stone I am just asking what you think
hey there! I cut 3/8 mild steel from time to time @45amps at 50ipm and 60psi. I have flexcut 125 by the way. There's also a 1.5 to 2mm kerf from the torch. And you have to watch out for the bevel. In my experience, holes may be perfect 50mm topside, but its only 48mm bottomside. I go for higher amp if I want lesser bevel (but of course take into account the kerf). What do you mean your holes don't look that great? Maybe you should start the pierce a bit far from the hole itself. Check out my old test cut.
