Turned out to be an issue with the control box. Basically when I installed the firmware upgrade (you get prompted when you first boot up the controller) it bricked the controller, bad EEPROM me thinks. Torchmate swapped out the controller and everything has been golden to this day.
Don't think...
Gotcha, so basically 2 options:
1. Do everything (speed adjustments and sequence) before outputting g-code file (I think this would be better for having production files).
2. Output everything as normal but use the percentage slider and pause features to change the feeds while the machine is...
My machine is cutting clean and accurate holes, very little to complain about!
BUT I'm still getting little chunks cut out beyond the circle area where the torch turns after the beginning lead-in. I saw a video where the torchmate machine does a swoop inwards and overlaps with another inwards...
I would like to get my hands on a way to add limit switches to my 4x4. I'm not looking t add them to each corner, but I would like a way to make a repeatable centering/locating/home point on my table.
So basically a soft stop in the bottom left corner where you normally datum the table. I would...
I will be testing my powermax 65 within an hour. From what I gather from Hyperthems manual there is an internal relay that 'dry' closes when the arc is established. I will check the port on the back of the machine for continuity when I jumper the arc start pins (on the same port located on the...
I went into the tools list tab last night and toggled the OK to move button off. The torch will fire and immediately move (no pause for piercing) and run the drawing like normal. I re-seated the plasma control cable on both ends, restarted the computer and accumove2 box, nothing changed, still...
So it goes like this:
I hit active start in VMD and the table will transit to the start location. Plasma lowers and pierces plate... and just stays there, no movement.
Weird thing is that it will run fine in dry mode and I can move all directions just fine via the yellow arrows on the screen...
I'm looking to index square/rectangle tube on my 4x4.
I realize that I will need a reliable home location, so I'm piecing together a simple buzzer connected to 2x limit switches to allow for quick/easy homing on one of the corners.
So, after homing the torch to a known location and matching...
Thanks joe!
Yes, the tubes are pinched in place by permanently gluing the slip collar on the top and end cap on the bottom. I also had a bunch of loose tubes and tape/bungy cords holding it down, I got tired of that system and decided to flex my table a bit.
This is the basic parts of the rack before I added the 4x upright steel tubes. each plate is made of 5x pieces, except the bottom plate that has 4x 3/8-16 nuts welded to the corner feet to allow attachment if the casters when finished. The nuts are hidden inside the tube once assembled...
So, If you disconnect the orange wire from the ohmic cap on the torch and measure for a DC voltage between it (the tip of the orange wire) and the star ground, do you see any voltage?
