what is best material to make new fuel tanks??

Ivor from UK here and I am restoring old ford 9n tractor and open crank Amanco engine and both are needing new fuel tanks someone reading this will say that I can get new tank for 9n which is true but I will only need small tank as it will only be used at ploughing matches... I am thinking about making tanks from stainless steel or aluminium .. there is plenty of time to decide as I wont need tractor or engine until next year thanks in advance

I have just phoned a guy who fits new kitchens and he has old stainless steel sinks to dispose of so I think material for new tanks is sorted unless someone will say do not use kitchen sink as fuel tank

Most aftermarket fuel tanks are aluminum.
