While I wait for a call back from tech support (2 hours and counting), I figured I ‘d ask here. I just datumed my machine Gs 4x4, was working on a drawing for awhile and the VMD at some point lost connection with AM2. I have reinstalled VMD, checked IP address, firewall off, and no joy. Ideas? Thanks in advance.

No need to reinstall the software. Does it show an active connection when you look at the network adapter, does it display Network Cable Unplugged or Unidentified Network (as it should). If network cable unplugged, have you disconnected and reconnected the red ethernet cable on both ends, on back of the AM2 box network cable should be plugged into the port closest to the outside edge. Open Command Prompt and type ipconfig and it should show you the computers IP address as well as your wireless IP address if you have one. The two addresses should not be in the same range, ie 192.168.1.?, if your router is on 192.168.1 you will need to change your Routers IP address to 192.168.? something other than 1.
