I'm having trouble with my 4x8 classic possibly losing datum while runing a long piece. I'm in process of making a fairly intricate fire ring and it'll cut perfect until the las 20 mins or so then all the cuts are about a .25 off of where they are supposed to be. Any ideas what could be causing the table to lose position like this its happened both times I ran the program and I've checked and rechecked the cut paths they are all good.
 
Yes I went through everything and retightened what I could. Had some slop on the y axis but it seems to be gone now. I just don't understand why it'd only happen on the last few cuts it after runing an hour without a problem
 
No it just all of a sudden jumps at the end of my program when it hits a specific shape. The table makes a noise like the motors are slipping but I can't tighten them anymore so I dont really know where to go from there.
 
I haven't had this happen to me, BUT, on a friends diy cnc he has similar things happen after prolonged use. The solution was better cooling of his pc and control case and adding ferrite chokes to all of his motor and control wires. When I put my machine together (4x4), I installed chokes on all the wires leading into the accumove box. 6.5mm snap-on chokes fit perfect on the motor cables; a bag of 10 was about 6$ off ebay.
 
It ended up being something in the software on my tm 3 classic. I ended up changing the cut path so it didn't have the sharp corner and it worked... tech support ran the file on a x table and didn't have the problem. so they had me up the power to the y axis drives from 2.8 RMS to 3.4 RMS. They said the table has different parameters so hopefully that'll fix it
