I cant help it i've added yet another accessory to my 4x4 machine. Purchased me a 2.2kw water cooled spindle to go on my Velox Z axis. I can say that I am completely staisfied with my ole 4x4 growth series table. I have never used it for plasma or metal working ive always had the router installed as woodworking is my main hobby. here is a pic or two of my table with my new spindle and A axis.

Yes I know I need to take some time and clean my machine up. It is certainly a work horse for sure !!

That is a monster of a spindle on that 1/2" flat bar, it is a good thing we have those guide rails on the top and bottom to prevent the cassette from twisting :) How fast will that Vlox Z axis move up and down.

Yeah I would agree with you I was worried about the weight. I’m at the point where my cassette needs to be rebuilt because the bearings are starting to make a lot of noise. Not really sure how fast the velocity Z will go but I have it limited at about 55ipm I think.

Now you have me curious so I’m going to test it pretty soon and see how fast it will run consistently.
