torch will not feed

We have a new torchmate x with the accumove 3 controller, and the Lincoln flexcut 125. The machine is set up, the software is loaded and we have rechecked all the connections and the grounds. The screen shows the ohmic cap not detected. When I run a program the torch comes down touches the plate and goes back up for the pierce, makes the pierce but then will not feed. I would love some input. Dry run performs great. Sonny

What you describe is confusing, you said it does not detect ohmic but then say that it taps the plate and bumps up to pierce height and fires the torch, this would not be possible if ohmic did not detect. Not moving after it pierces would be a separate issue from ohmic, ohmic only tells us where the plate is at after detecting ohmic turns off. You will want to check your plasma Ok to Move signal, look at the cable connected to the back of the Accumove 3 box, smaller round connector that has a Circle with an Arrow pointing to the inside (of the 4 small round connectors this would be lower left one if looking at back of the box). Disconnect and reconnect this cable and try running a job again. You will notice on the Dashboard that Tool 1 will light up when the plasma strikes an arc, after piercing through the plate you should also see Input 1 light up indicating we received the Ok to Move signal.
