I'm old school. I like to have hard copies on paper of my dimensioned drawings, so that if, gods forbid, there's a crash or virus on both my laptop and backup hard drive, I can quickly re-create the drawing that I've spent the last six months putting into TM CAD, or send the parts to another company for cutting in the event of an equipment failure.

I've been experimenting with how to do this in CAD/CAM V9, but I can't seem to figure it out. When I export the image as a .pdf, the dimensions don't show up, and when I export as .pdf or .bmp, both images are very light in color, and unprintable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

BTW...notes on the image don't show up, either.

Try using the publish to pdf option

When I publish to pdf, the part image comes through very light, and none of the dimensions or notes are visible.

I use the stroke and fill to embolden the lines.

A few things to verify when you are generating PDFs out...

    1. Make sure you are selecting a font and font size that is large enough to see.

I will usually select either Times or Arial and set them to BOLD and at least Size 20.

    2. I will use the VIEW/SHOW FILL option to allow for the part to come out solid instead of lines but if you are needing to use the LINE view then you can select your item and add some weight to the lines by using the STROKE TOOL. upload_2016-8-19_9-13-25.png
Select your part that you need the weight and select the PEN tool.

Make sure THICK LINE is selected
Enter in at least .1 for the line thickness

This will automatically add the weight to what you have selected.

    Then select all.

    File/PUBLISH to PDF

Have SELECTED CHECKED. UNCHECK TOOL PATHS ONLY. Name the file.

    In the PUBLISH screen

Make sure EXPORT VECTORS AS SHOWN ON SCREEN is checked. Press OK.

    Should get good results...
