The online feature is a bonus. Are you using a 3d layout then breaking it down or just all 2d?

Online definetly adds a nice detail.

I have done everything up to now in cadlite, including this. Luckily the PC I recieved with my new table has 2014 Solidworks on it so I plan to start using it so I can model stuff like this in 3D for customers.

You should have gotten a full version with that TMX? find an orange dongle? Does it have CAD installed?

Yes. I had to buy a new dongle but I did get the full version. Does the full version model in 3D? I haven't really seen anything the full version does that I can't do in lite other than maybe centerline and scantrace. In all fairness though i really haven't messed with it much. I use a sepertate program to convert pics to DXF that's does a great job.

Beautiful work! What does "Online" feature do for detail?
Online toolpath. It's the line you see around the inside edge of the W. Basically an open object that does not connect at the ends.

To do this
Draw a straight line with node edit inside a square
Got to edit/select by/open object
Make path
Create online toolpath
Edit/select inverse
Make path
Create male toolpath

If I remember correctly.

Well CAD9 allows for nesting, scan trace and the custom parts library. The hatchet tool is also an addition.

Yes I see it now. I need to get some new glasses! I thought that inner line was a third layer of steel. Thanks for the tip!
