Is there someone who got training in welding safety? I am planning to conduct a safety tutorial for my employees like this http://www.weldtechtraining.com/welding-courses/specialized-courses/oxy-acetylene-arc-welding-safety . We have more injuries reported in the welding section, think that it would be better if they are trained in such courses. Would it be better to conduct workshop rather than tutorials? Any suggestions on this?
When I got hired in and again when I went through school for welding, they reviewed dangers with welding. If it’s in Oxy cutting you're worried about we watched a video and went over the proper order of turning on the gas and Oxygen then turning them off. If showed some after effects of the oxygen regulator exploding then what happens if the oxygen retracts into the fuel tank. That helped more than anything, I haven't popped a torch in a while. Welding safety everyone always talks about proper PPE. Dress for the arc you're making. http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us/education-center/welding-safety/Pages/welding-safety.aspx
