New to Torchmate CAD

And I've got to say, I'm very underwhelmed.

Instruction manual and videos are very incomplete. I may try to make the class in Reno.

Some issues:

Nesting-no success yet
How to adjust start point. It's random, runs inches in X & Y from program home to cut.
How to cut 2 simple rectangles with a common side so you make 1 cut?
I have to use Bobcam because Torchmate is so tedious but it doesn't always import correctly

And of course I would recommend the class is Reno as it gets you to step two in just overall understanding of the CAD and machine.

In the CAD when you generate the TOOL PATH you can determine the ORIGIN you set your LEAD in to start. On the machine would just be your SET PROGRAM ZERO.
If you are generating nests then I would recommend SEQUENCING your parts so it doesn't run all over.

Import correctly? Importing from what? If you are using bobCAD then there is no "real" reason to use the TMCAD as we have the POST right out of bobCAD.

In plasma you wouldn't make a common line cut. Reason is the plasma is swirling so one side of the cut would look good and the other side would look like garbage.
