i recently installed the lc 100 on my flex cut 80
the book gives me some ipm numbers of 350 on 16 guage I am currently running 200 ipm @40 amp
slack is terrible but the machine acts like it cant keep up with the g code any faster than that
is anyone else having issues with the new lc100 torch head

when I run the precision cut consumables I run the same ipm just 45 amp with the book settings and the head allways throws yellow lights on the plasma itself looks like it shorts the tip out
I have changed and changed consumables and they get burn marks on them I back the shield cap off a 1/4 turn and it runs find for about 10-20 pierces then back to throwing codes on the plasma itself

what is everyone running or does anyone know a quick tip seems like everytime I get torch mate on the phone it works perfect

I would like to say torchmates tech guys are bad to the bone and hate calling about stuff
anything anyone is doing I will try before I give the guys at tm a call

thank you for all the help in the past guys/girls

Bryan, The precision tips has a different shield. Verify that the shield is about 1/4 turn from being tight as the nozzle "could" poke out a little more than the shield giving ohmic issues. Also in my experience, the PP tips run about 45% slower than the normal 40 amp tips.

I ALWAYS will state to run a line speed test to determine the proper cutting speed and just use the cut charts as just a guide besides the PH CH and PD.
