Gantry Issues

I'm in need of help. When trying to move the Gantry, it moves fine for awhile, then it seems to get stuck and make a grinding noise and won't move. When I push the DATUM button, it does the exact same thing. HELP!!!

I would need to know what model table you have, it sounds like you either have a 4x00, TM Classic or TM X table. In either case you can first try and reload configuration, leave the boxes unchecked when you highlight the configuration file.

I actually got ahold of someone and come to find it there was a screw that had fallen down in there and I got that issue fixed. Now I have another. I am trying to cut 1/4 inch metal. It is making the cut but not cutting all the way thru the metal. When I made the test cut it cut the material just fine. When I made the test cut, I followed the instructions in the book and didn't change anything and it cut it perfectly with the same thickness of metal. Is there maybe a step or something that I missed on the CAD software that could be causing the issue? It's a torchmate 4400.

It could be that you did not define the proper feedrate, usually set to 100, this is when you create the Tool Path on the Basic Tab you can enter 100 for the Feedrate. Use the slider bar in the VMD software to override this value, for instance setting the slider to 120% with a feedrate of 100 would equal 120 ipm.

If you neglect to enter a feedrate then the machine will travel at its maximum speed.
