Finding perimeter of job

I want to be able to take a job for a customer and draw it up in torchmate cad/cam and then find the perimeter of all the parts that I have to cut, so basically how far the torch will travel while it's turned on. Then I can use that length to quote the job for the customer based on a set rate of x dollars/inch. Is there any way that I can accomplish this in torchmate cad/cam or the torchmate vmd software?

Short answer no. Long answer do the math, you would have to dry run it, to see the run time then you can multiply seconds x speed to get distance. Same as you would for MPH in a car.

Ditto dnmeister. Problem I run into is I don’t want to spend time designing and toolpathing a job I may not get. After you cut for awhile you get used to how long it’s going to take. I make an educated guess and add 15-20%. I charge $2 per minute for cut time and a flat fee to load and unload the table based on sheet size. Unloading all the parts is the biggest job IMO. Time is $$.
