i go to the layout tab and click custom parts. i selct the part i want and it puts it on the screen then the program locks up and i cant do anything. after a few mins is tells me the program isnt responding. my cad cam works fine. until i try adding the custom part. i know a way around it but i would like to see if i can solve the problem and save myself time in the future.

Might need to uninstall and reinstall the program. Sounds like something is corrupted. I would recommend downloading the current version on the website instead of trying to go off of a disc.
i tried doing it on another work piece and it worked fine. i was trying to add it to a design that had crazy details so i think it may have just been too much to handle
