Nothing earth shattering, but this is my latest project. Air bagged independent suspension off road trailer. All cut on my Torchmate 2x2 and welded with my Lincoln 256. Dave 20160425_152548.jpg

Dave, nice looking trailer. How did it turn out, did you finish it, how does it ride down the road.

Still working on it, hope to get it done soon. I'll post up once I get the body made for it... I keep adding things to it, latest is a winch tucked under the back so I can drag it around if I get it twisted up in the rocks...

Any pics on how you built the axles. You plan on adding grommets to protect the airlines, do the airbags have internal bump stops or are you using the shocks to limit travel.

Going to grommet the air likes once the frame is painted. Have not added bumps yet, was going to see how much travel it has once loaded. But the shocks will probably be the limiters.. the axles are 3500lb square spindles welded into the plate. The A arms are 1/4", I cut the cutouts for looks then welded them inset. Here is a photo of them... 20160202_184601.jpg

Turned out nice, you can tell a lot of planning went into the design, I like the access to internal storage.
