opinion please, single stage, 11cfm, @ 90 psi 135 max psi 60 gal.. or 2 stage 10.5 cfm @ 90 psi ,175 psi 40 gal. would like the latter for space and size. should equal out? 40 gal 175 psi/60 gal 135 psi
Here are the requirements on the Air pressure for our FlexCut 80.
REQUIRED GAS FLOW RATE
300 SCFH min @ 90 PSI
(140 SLPM min @ 6.2 bar)
REQUIRED GAS INLET
PRESSURE
87.0 to 109.0 PSI
(6.0 Bar. to 7.5 Bar.)
So either one of those compressors will work well. Personally I would use a 2-stage just for efficiancy purposes but also the availability of getting overall higher output pressures.
I would choose the Stage 2 as well, more pressure, likely to be quieter and wont cycle as much with a regulator set to 120 psi, where most plasma cutters require from 6 to 8 cfm.
