Cad crashes when making path

Need help, I can manipulate any file to make it cuttable but this file is giving me fits. I have connecte all of the broken lines but when I make path , the object disappears and cad crashes. I am going to attach the file in hopes anybody can help me or can tell what is happening. Im using tm cad v9

Layers..........Layers were the problem ....Must have everything on the same layer! Duh
