Avhc Not lowing plasma torch to material

Hello everyone,

Just set up torchmate 2 table after shop move and our torch refused to drop down to the material.
We are using the blue display avhc. Am going to take apart and give it a major cleaning tomorrow but is there anything else that could be doing this. I reinstalled all the software but it seems to be back where it was before but might be missing some setting or something.

It is because the lifter station is seeing too much resistance.

In the blue screen go to JOG SLIDE. If you can manually go up and down then you need to either three and oil oil your lifter or completely strip and clean the assembly.

You can also loosen the top bolts that hold the slides by a 1/4 turn and thet will help loosen up the lifter and release some resistance.

thanks for the reply it was definitely some resistance in the lifter station. took out the guides and gave them a nice clean and lube and was off to the races. thanks again

Be careful with to much oil, you will compound the problem as it will start collecting plasma dust. Use it sparingly and wipe / clean regularly.
