I have been out of the torchmate game for a while as I moved to another state. I recently went to set my table back up after about 2 years and low and behold apparently my signal generator took a dump. (Tech support could provide no answers as to why And the parts department guy said sometimes electronic items just fail). Anyways.... Tech support told me it sounded like I needed a new mobo in my 501a signal generator and forwarded my email chain with them to the parts department. I received a response from them shortly after that a new mobo would cost $575. I immediately got another email from parts saying to get in touch with them to discuss my options. I did..... Apparently in the 1 hour I got the price quote till when I spoke to them on the phone now that part is no longer available. Go figure. Torchmate or should I say Lincoln now wants $2200 for a new updated signal generator. This email is in no way intended to bash torchmate. I love my table and tech support was always on point. This is however the first time I have contacted them since Lincoln buy out and I wasn't impressed. Main question: Does anyone know of any other options to replace my 501a signal generator? Everything else functions as it should (I.e.- AVHC, software, motors) and I don't wanna start from scratch again and I really don't wanna spend $2200 right now either..... Any help would be great!
I apparently called the wrong person at Lincoln/torchmate because they wanted to up sell me the new system and told me the old stuff was discontinued. I called keith this mornin and he got everything situated. Thank you again for being honest with me and helping me out.
My 501 signal generator is fine just need a blue screen AVHC does anyone have a used one or know where to one repaireded
Unfortunately we do not offer repair parts for the AVHC anymore, you can contact parts and they can see if we have any more units in stock or refurbished units in stock. Barring that you would be looking at upgrading to the new Accumove controller which comes with height control built in.
