I have been having alot of issues with my 2x4 growth series with AccuMove2. I posted earlier in the week about most of my issues. I bought it new four monthes ago. I waited a month to get it and so far I have worked on it more then it has accually burned. I have burnt three sheets successufully and wasted alot of time and money scraping sheets. I have three signs to make by this weekend and probally will have to turn down the job until I get these issues figured out.

I down loaded the new VMD software last night after removing the old version. After the install I shut everything down and restarted it. I datumed the machine and everything seemed fine. When I try to select a new job and import it the software completly shuts down. I'm very dissapointed in the machine and the software at this point. Mainly the inconsistance in both. Does anyone have any sugesstions are had the same issues? I'm at the point of selling the machine and starting over with a different brand. Thanks

You will have to have Internet access to your computer that runs your vmd but tech can look at it in real time.

Can you create a job using the shape library in the VMD software, when you select Job from TM Cad does it do this every time.

I was able to run a program through the shape Library. It was a little different from the previous vmd software. I picked what I wanted to do saved it and then I had to find it and bring it back in and it did dry run the program fine. But I have designed two signs in torchmate Cad and saved it as a GM file and it still shuts down when I try to bring it in the new vmd. At this point something needs to be done. I'm definitely tired of losing productivity and money wasting time on this machine. At least with the old version I was able to bring programs in and halfway run them and then cut the rest out with my die grinder.

This is the DXF. I created it in CADLite then made tool paths, outputted it into a program then exported it. I will try to find the actual GM code program.

The dxf file is blank there is nothing on it. You tool path the part in Cad Lite, select the tool path drop it into the lower left corner of your material, click on the Scissors, then click on the Scissors again to save the gm file. In order for it to save as a gm file you will need to ensure your machine settings are correct. Go to Machine then Machine Defaults, ensure the Driver is set to Accumove Imperial and that the Tool is Multi-Tool.

just realized that sorry man. There's a GM code on the thread below it. But I did notice looking through the program that there's no torch down or torch up in the program it's just cutting continuously. I reinstalled the software again for the third time and was able to run the G and M code program that I have. I just dry ran it but it ran through okay it just didn't raise a torch or lower the torch. It continuously ran through without raising the torch. so I did something wrong and my toll pass on that program that would explain that. But I didn't kick me out of the DMV and shut down so that's good news. So I gaining some ground

For some reason it cut the Y out wrong on the text. Everything else looked fine. Scrapped another one. On the new version of VMD when you set up a job in auto mode do you call z zero the top of material? Are do you touch off on the material set the top of material and then move up to your cut height and zero z on program zero? Thanks

A continuous cut line with no dotted rapid travel lines means that you do not have the Machine settings correct as I posted above "Go to Machine then Machine Defaults ... and that the Tool is Multi-Tool"

Here is a video series showing how to run a job in the VMD software. Zero for the Z axis is at the top of its travel where you press Reset Z.

Also on your latest file I do not see a feedrate, when you create the tool path as it shows in the video be sure to click on the Basic Tab and enter a feedrate for your tool path, you can enter a 100 and adjust the feedrate using the slider bar in the VMD software.
