I have a new machine, 4510 got it 6 weeks ago

It appears that the Y axis motor on the left side is not engaging the rack properly.

I get datum errors. It takes several tries before it homes properly.

If I then move the machine the carriage is jerky. One side is moving out of sequence with the other side.

If I then try to do a dry run, it does not move the correct distance, almost as if the motor is spinning but not moving the carriage.

Any ideas how I can fix this?
Maybe a belt or something is loose or out of adjustment?

I am in the middle of trying to cut an order!!

    Thank you!

    Jerry

I’m having the same issue with my 4800, checked all the screws. All tight but motors do seem to be out of sequence. If you figure the issue please post it. Thanks
